I need to make sure this Power Supply is good enough, too low, or right on the line and should increase it a little just to be safe for this build.

I tried using the calculator but I'm not sure how to do it properly

here's my build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cpgwjX

Also, good case for this build? I've had some people tell me not to get it.

Thank you!

Apparently you need to delete the space at the end of the link and it works. 5820K with 2x970 at 750W. Seems enough to me.

Sorry that was weird, here it is http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cpgwjX

It will work fine, just not impressive headroom. 1150 and 2x970 can easily run on 600W. Dunno about 2011.

What do you mean by headroom?

It's best to have your PSU not ever run at 100% capacity. I'd say 80% is the most you should use so 20% headroom. That should be enough though like I said.

I would recommend this one getting the G2 instead rather than the entry level gold unit that is the NEX / G1. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr

Or the EVGA Supernova B2 750w. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-110b20750vr

What does the G2 have exactly that the G1 doesn't? Can you please Explain?

Should I get a 850 instead of 750?

The G1 isn't a bad PSU. It's build by FSP and is based on the Aurum Gold platform. It's a low production cost platform that offer high efficiency, but like other group-regulated PSU, it does not perform electrically as well as other units such as the B2 and G2 I had mentioned. The fan and fan profile on the NEX / G1 has quite a few complaints of it be rather loud.

The G2 on the other than is based on a higher-end platform (Leadex) made by Super Flower. It's better build, perform better electrically, more efficient, and has a switch for active cooling and semi-passive cooling (fan doesn't spin up at lower loads for a more quiet operation).

A 750w unit would be fine for your system. The 850w variant would be ~$15 more if you choose to buy it..

Oh okay! Thank you for this information! I will be sure to get a G2 now!

Or any SeaSonic PSU. Just saying.

But yeah, the G2 will be great as well. And I imagine that you're gonna be using around 550 watts as PCPartPicker says with that build.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Well someone said 750 wasn't enough headroom and I should get a higher watt one, like 850w i guess, Idk im not good at deciding that's why I asked the forums.

Headroom - yeah, don't push the PSU towards it's max load. A PSU is most efficient at around 80% of it's max potential usually so you'll be pretty set. Unless you plan on adding more GPUs in the future, your 750W will be more than fine.

You think it will be bad to spend the extra 15$ now for an 850w? even if i don't think ill upgrade later, money isn't an issue

Not worth it. Unless 3 GPUs is an investment you want to make of course. But by the time 2 way SLI isn't enough for your needs, a whole new system will be in check and I just don't think spending any extra money on extra wattage is really worth it.
