300watts From what it looks like my motherboard only produces 16amps from the pci slot will this gpu Fucntion?

it should, but even so, dont use that psu, its old and its components are probably dangerous ;)

old enough :P its not 80+ i suppose? tho it is HP, and they (or was it dell) are known for good reliable psus.
