Next Gen G13...

Hey

 

Does anyone have any ideas if Logitech is going to release G13 v2? (probably a different name but you get what I mean).

 

I've been using G13 gameboard for several years now, and It's no longer available in my country, and I'm scared that it might stop working / break at any time. I'm quite surprised that it's still working actually (~4 years or so now) and I use it daily for multiple hours.

 

But I would really really love if Logitech made a new version of it - and now is the perfect timing since they just made their own switches (Romer-G for Orion Spark G910).

 

Any fellow G13 users here? do you wish to see a new one? does anyone have any ideas if they are planing / designing a new one already)

Whats a gameboard?

 

I assume you mean a keyboard, and if it's a mechanical keyboard I believe they're rated to last ~10 years. 

 

So I assume you'll be fine.

 

May wanna double check tho...

You obviously don't know what G13 is. Google it..

People are accustomed to term "keypad", not "gameboard". I personally would think of arcade controller if there was no model around :\

Well, there aren't many models out there so many people don't even know about its existence, but on Logitech's website it's called G13 Advanced Gameboard or something like that, that's why i used that term.

I think the closest thing you can get to the G13 these days is from Razer. Either the Orbweaver or the Tartarus.

 

The Orbweaver comes with mechanical switches, where as the Tartarus comes with membrane.

IMO, Orbweaver is a better choice, since the membrane give you significant finger strain
