i can say since i use 419 with a modmic and i love it only issue is the 419's have a super short cord. this wouldnt be a big deal unless your desktop is more than 3ft away from your person

Yeah, modmic and open-style headset is the better way to go.

?? thats good right i don't need the mute function really for another $7 I'm saving money to build a system and get a case for my phone
