Planning The Fortress

Go to solution Solved by calebp123,

I'm planning out how to water cool my Silverstone FT03, and am looking for advice/tips. This will be my first time water cooling.  :)

Placement:

1 X 120mm Rad in top fan mount

1 X 160mm Rad in bottom fan mounts

2 X 420mm Rads (exterior mounted) on the back panel

1 X pump/res on DVD tray

Will be throwing an XSPC block on my 3570k, and trying to get a 780 hydro copper (good luck with that right?). I realize this many rads might be overkill, but I'm looking to have some fun building this rather than get the best performance for my buck. I like the look/simplicity of the Pump and Reservoir Combo but I don't know if that would work in this planned setup. Thoughts?

It should work out ok and the pump/res combo is ok.

Well main thing I'm worried about is if it all fits in! Still the two interior rads will be a tight fit.

I've measured everything and the 120 rad will fit just fine; the 160mm might require some case modding for screw holes, but there should be room for it. I might skip the 160 just to simplify things a bit, however.

Good to hear. :)
