Possible Upgrade?

Hi, 

 

I'm hoping to upgrade my graphics card in the near future to a Asus STRIX GTX970 DirectCU II OC 4GB (Maxwell) Nvidia PCI Express Graphics Card.

 

 My Current specs are below and i was wondering if there is anything else i should consider upgrading. Many thanks :)

  • Corsair Graphite Series 230T (Grey/Blue)
  • Corsair CS650M Power Supply (Semi-Modular)
  • Gigabyte B85-HD3
  • Intel Core i5 4440 @ 3.10GH
  • X 2 Patriot Viper 3 Black Mamba 8.00GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz
  • Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 DirectCU II OC 2GB GDDR5
  • WD Blue 1TB
  • LiteOn IHAS124-04 24x SATA Internal DVDRW Drive
  • Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
  • Acer S240HLBID 24-inch Monitor
  • Acer Keyboard
  • Acer Mouse

Get an SSD maybe? Also why is your ram clocked so low

Desktop: i7-4790k, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, Seagate Barracuda 3TB, 2xR9 290 Vapor-X's (1 working atm), Asus Z97-Pro, NZXT H440 White, 16GB G. Skill Sniper RAM, NZXT HALE V90 850W.

Laptop: Samsung Chromebook 11.6" 

Phone: 8GB Galaxy S4

More ram is really not that needed if you ask me.

Considering newer games are almost maxing out my 8 gigs of ram and some causing stuttering because of it when I have something as little as pandora open in chrome (looking at you FC4), it's definitely an upgrade. Does he need 8GB more of ram? No. But does he also *need* a 970/SSD? Absolutely not, but they're upgrades.

i have 16gb of ram now, just installed some from my old pc :)
