Minecraft: Java Virtual Machine Launcher

Ningeal

Hey guys,

I know I'm late to jump on the bandwagon but I just recently bought Minecraft. I've started it once, logged in and ran the update.

Now whenever I start it up I get the "Java Virtual Machine Launcher error".

Has anyone any fix? I couldn't find something helpful through Google.

I have the latest Java version and I'm on Win7 64 bit.

No, it's "Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: A fatal  exception has occured. Programm will exit".

You should try this:

Remove any malware that may have entered your computer. Click "Start" and type "mrt" (without the quotes) in the Search field. Press "Enter" to launch a built-in Windows utility, Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool. Click "Next" and choose "Full Scan." Follow the on-screen prompts to finish scanning and remove any spyware or adware from your computer. Reboot your computer.

Click "Start," type "msconfig" (without the quotes) in the Search field and press "Enter." This will launch your System Configuration utility.

Click the "Startup" tab.

Remove the check mark next to "WJView.exe" and "javaw.exe."

Click "OK" and reboot your computer when prompted.

Or:
Right click Minecraft.exe, go to properties, compatibility and deactivate visual themes.

Have you tried reinstalling it? It's not that big, so redownloading should not take too long. Just backup your worlds first!

How am I supposed to re-install Minecraft, when I cannot even pass the launcher? LOL

Win + R   ---> Type in %appdata%

Then delete the ".minecraft" Folder

Have you tried updating your Java to the latest version?

The most issues I've encountered with MC were caused by Java
