GTX 970 Uses?

I'd say it's right about the sweetspot for (high-end) 1080p. You'll be able to run every game maxed out for quite a long time compared to something like a 760/770 which may not be able to do it for nearly as long.

RIP in pepperonis m8s

With newer, more demanding games that thing is still getting you 60 FPS most of the time on high settings. So it's a perfect fit IMO.

And imagining you might want to move up at some point, 970 SLI is very attractive as well.

I think it's literally perfect to max out anything on 1080p to be played at 60fps.

I'm assuming monitor is 1080p 60hz.

This card is overkill... for minecraft. Or LoL. BUT, even if you don't run at 4k... it has super sampling. If you are playing a game where 1080p with a 970 is overkill, it allows you to render the game at a higher quality... say, 4k, and then shrink the image, allowing for a better picture.

The card is great at 1080p. I've been playing some pretty games at maxed settings on it without fuss :)

yes great card! great for gaming at ultra settings, very high fps at 1080p. you can plug multiple monitor in the futur, or you tv with hdmi cable.

This card is perfect for 1080p. It can max everything and is a good price.

Amazing card for a 1080p monitor, I shall be getting this card soon and I look forward to it. I heard it performs as well as a GTX 980 at stock when overclocked.

I'd consider it a card appropriate for 1080p @ 120 Hz, or 1440p. That said, it's not outrageously overpowered for 1080p @ 60 Hz, since you can always crank up anti-aliasing or DSR.

Well personally I would buy the card for gaming.

Sounds good :D
