Older? not at all, you could buy a Swiftec H220, that way you can OC further, and add a GPU block later and expand it, also you could get a sound card if you have decent headphones/headset.

Codename: HighFlyer, specs:  CPU: i5 2500k cooled by a H70ish(2 rad)   Mobo: MSI MPower Z77   GPUs: Gigabyte GTX 660 OC 1150 MHZ core, 3150 memory both   RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16G @1600mhz   SSD: ADATA Premier Pro sx900 / HDD Seagate Barracuda 1TB/Samsung 1TB   Power supply: Corsair RM650 80+ Gold   Case Corsair Carbide 500R   5.4 ghz achieved on the good old 2500k, may it rest in peace. Current daily OC is 4.8 @1.41 v

What monitor have you got? If it's 1080p you don't need to upgrade your gpu. That will last you a while. I would say wait for the HD9000 series. You could upgrade now but you probably won't get a noticeable performance increase. The same is kind of true for upgrading to Haswell. If you reckon it makes sense to spend a large some of money on something you won't really notice, go for it.

If you really want to upgrade something, get yourself a nice mechanical keyboard or a decent mouse or something (as long as you don't already have one). What sound solution have you got? Decent headphones or speakers?

Rig: i7 2600K @ 4.2GHz, Larkooler Watercooling System, MSI Z68a-gd80-G3, 8GB G.Skill Sniper 1600MHz CL9, Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce 3x 2GB OC, Samsung 840 250GB, 1TB WD Caviar Blue, Auzentech X-FI Forte 7.1, XFX PRO650W, Silverstone RV02 Monitors: Asus PB278Q, LG W2243S-PF (Gaming / overclocked to 74Hz) Peripherals: Logitech G9x Laser, QPad MK-50, AudioTechnica ATH AD700

I have a 1080p monitor and i'm only really looking to upgrade the current setup to add something not change over to anything else.  Sound Card is a good idea i have 5.1 Rocat Kave headphones.  I've always wanted to do water cooling but i have have enough trust to put those AIO units in my system if i was like in the 1% bracket that has an issue with their unit and it leaks or something i don't have the money to put this type of rig together again.  I do have an Old Logitech G15 keyboard and was thinking about getting a ducky or a Corsair keyboard but i can live with what i have i'm more about upgrading to get performance gains but i do have keyboard on my mind.  My mouse right now is razer abyssus and its right small i'm a claw mouse type of person the big bulky ones i'm not to keen on.

O and my Monitor is a Samsung P2350 and i've had it for quite a while i wouldn't mind updating that but i would only spend enough money for another 1080p monitor so i don't even know if its worth it.

Peripherals will give a definite noticeable upgrade. You can't go wrong with satisfaction when getting something you will physically work with.
