So a few days ago my monitor died, wouldn't power up at all no matter what I did. i got bored about an hour ago and i tried to get it to power back up and it still didn't want to but I did get the LED power light to flicker on and off for a split second so i was like hmm maybe if I leave it for a while unplugged it will work and well I was right. I powered up the monitor sucessfully about 5 minutes ago and it works just as it did before it "died" and it keeps powering up too. I have no clue what happened but now I have a new monitor for no reason.

The capacitors in your monitor's power circuitry are going bad. Some decent soldering skills and replacing the caps will get your monitor back in tip top shape.

It seems to be working fine now. Also I can't get the monitor open no screws.

Then you need to pry it open, just buy some caps (good brand ones) and replace those who have bursted.

Some Nichicon, Samxon, Rubycon, or Panasonics should do good.

So long as the OP stays away from no-name brands that get sold at radio shack, or other less than quality Tayeh and GSC caps.
