Need some help over here :/

My computer has started freezing these few days, no BSOD. Just complete screen freeze and mouse cannot be moved.

I suspect it's something wrong with the ram but I need a utility to check for sure.

Also, I'm having trouble with re-booting the computer. When it freezes, hard reset switch and holding down power button both results in my monitor flickering, the fans and LED turning on and off as the computer attempts to boot up.

I have to completely cut power to the PC for about 5 minutes before it can boot again. Cutting off the power and turning it back on quickly results in the attempt to boot 'fan and led on, then off and on and repeats'.

I have no idea what is causing this, can someone suggest a check/remedy? Cutting power to my computer when it freezes doesn't feel very healthy.

Sometimes the computer runs fine for hours, while other times it freezes within 15 minutes of startup.

Have you done any updates recently? Drivers, hardware?

Have you checked Windows logs?

Test your RAM by removing one of them and running the system for a bit. If it still freezes, swap the sticks and try again.
