New computer videocard wont work

When i try to boot with my graphic card on place the vga led is constant red and i dont get any display

 

i got a

asus p8z77-v

intel 3570k

corsair vengeance 1600mhz 2 * 8gig

club3d hd 7870 xt

 

When i start computer without videocard everything working. Have tried everything updated , bios resetet cmos, tried diffrent pci slots etc etc.

The red LED is there because the 6 pin power connector isn't plugged in. Please plug it in and try again.

Lol, i had this issue with the same gpu! Could only fix it by using another gpu for driver installation etc. Then it suddenly worked. Weird stuff.

You are on bios 2003 did u update did it come with that bios

Also have u tried using your igpu for grpahic

Yes my igpu is working and no i updated it to 2003

Is the card getting all the power it requires? I.e. all power connectors plugged in.

Have u tried the gpu in the othe pci slot?

It sound like your PSU does not have the wattage to support that rig with that GPU. It could also be a defected GPU. Does the GPU fan ramp up at start up? if it ramps up, i think its a defect.

if your IGPU is working, install the driver that way.  Is the PC not displaying video?  Are you enabling the PCI-E slot to start over IGPU?  If not it takes 3 boot cycles to see the video card as primary.

Well, i did it wih a gt440 but you have the igpu available so it should work fine that way.
