add all steam games from another hard drive

just installed my OS but like an idiot didnt create a back up but i have all my games downloaded on my hard drive. is there a way to add them to my library without re downloading 

 

Yes, when you install a game, tell steam that your game directory is on that old hard drive

 

when you go to install the game it will detect that the game is already installed instead of downloading it

Yes, when you install a game, tell steam that your game directory is on that old hard drive

 

when you go to install the game it will detect that the game is already installed instead of downloading it

I hope those instructions made sense :P haha basically make your steam library point to where your games are already installed

yea didnt even have to do them individually. i learn to love steam more everyday
