I was curious as to if there was an adapter that allowed USB flashdrives to work in SD card slots, or do I have to build one myself. I want one for certain reasons I cant elaborate on at this time.

I don't think the SDIO interface can be adapted to USB.

there are SD to USB adapters, so I was curious as to if there was SD to USB.

hmm... if your phone doesn't have a host port, this would be a great solution. Mind making a tutorial of how you make your own?

If i do make my own I could try, but it wouldn't be pretty, I don't know about the phone thing, but I have a modded Wii that allows SDXC cards, and a USB harddrive, and was going to try to use it in the sd slot, because I have the lan adapter plugged in, and another harddrive that is full (tons of roms, vids, and music) since I have another drive I don't want to upgrade the one I already have.

Nothing to see here, move along

be careful about using a harddrive. The voltages/signals may be different and might damage the drive. Test it with a cheap throw-away USB first

well thats a given, i have plenty of those, so no big loss. If needed I will create a basic circuit with a PCB and other materials to allow safe usage, plus If it gets destroyed I have a new wii i never opened that I won from a mall machine for a $1..
