Hi,

about 8 months ago I bought a Corsair CX600M power supply and shortly after it was clicking and ticking at random time. Some days there was no clicking and other days there was clicking. This didnt matter if I was gaming or just doing nothing. It did it and its annoying.

It sound like this but this is not my video and PSU, and the noise whould stop after a random amount of time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x35AaxTlYi4

Some people told me it was a Fan problem other said it is broken and not working. It is infact working fine but the clicking is not fun at all.

I never had this problem with the other PSU that I had. That one was broken because one of the Capacitor blew of... Never buying PSU from EVGA ever again... Now I got this noise problem that doesn't help either...

Someone got any tips what I can do to solve this. I know I can return it but then I whould not be able to be on my computer for a few days.

Thanks,

Doggy

I would RMA it and get a better psu. The CX series is an average psu at best. Look at the HX or even the AX series. Ironically, I would highly recommend the EVGA G2 series before either.

BTW, for all those buyers out there, brands mean shit. When it comes to psu's it the model that is the most important and even the particular wattage. Most of the psu brands do not make their own product and it can vary hugely between models. Things like Corsair's RM series has two different manufacturers and one is better than the other. EVGA's G2 series is different from all their other psu lines and it's one of the best in the industry right now.

Sir William of Orange: Corsair 230T - Rebel Orange, 4690K, GA-97X SOC, 16gb Dom Plats 1866C9,  2 MX100 256gb, Seagate 2tb Desktop, EVGA Supernova 750-G2, Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3, DK 9008 keyboard, Pioneer BR drive. Yeah, on board graphics - deal with it!
