Motherboard USB Help

Go to solution Solved by acolombo,

So the Mobo i am looking at has no USB 3.0 header, but it has plenty of USB 2.0. How badly would the speed be effected if I were to  buy an USB 3.0 to 2.0 header, would it be worth it, or should I get a new mobo? I have a Case with a front usb 3.0 and i want to use it.

Do you have any USB 3.0 device? What kind of USB 3.0 devices do you have?

I think it only depends on how often do you use USB 3.0 devices, then you could consider to buy a PCI USB3.0 expansion card for your current motherboard, a whole new motheboard or only an USB 3.0 to 2.0 adapter...

Buy a mobo with USB 3.0 if you have't bought the one one you are considering.

Otherwise you can buy a usb 3.0 add in card.

That is so true I havent thought of that, I really dont use USB 3.0 Devices, so I could just use a 3.0 to 2.0 adapter to still have to front one work, Thanks man
