Simple Audio Listen

Hi guys,

Was looking to get new speakers for my desk (will playback from laptop or cellphone) and i found that the Simple Audio Listen's are on Massdrop for only 160USD (with shipping to BE 210, without import taxes).
Considering they cost around 450-500USD, should i buy them?

Anyone who has experience with them or a better option for 200-300USD?

I have seen the LLT vid but wanted some up to date reaction here if possible, and maybe some confirmation on the reliability of massdrop?

You shouldn't consider them as $500 speakers, you should consider them as maybe $100 speakers with some fancy electronics. Linus's comparison/review doesn't even begin looking at passive speakers so I dunno what he was thinking.

I'm not really a speaker nut so I can't really pinpoint a good passive speaker in your budget other than knowing the goods brands. Don't be afraid to shop for used speakers as they're normally in good condition.

I know they're overpriced but I guess for Linus to atleast let them pass they should sound better then most of the 200USD speakers..

But still if anyone finds a better option...
