Overhauling Audio Setup

Well I'm looking to start off on the audiophile game here and try and get a nice audio set up for my PC. I'm mostly looking to improve immersiveness in games but I'm also into some good music and movies. I'm also definitely not one of those people who glorifies bass or stuff like that so I'm looking for some nice crisp clear sound over something like beats headphones, oh and noise cancelling headphones are a plus to. Also, I'm on a tight budget so no expensive as hell stuff, and I might add on that I live in Australia.

 

So at the moment I'm looking into getting

 

- The Audio-Technica ATH-M50 Headphones, if there are better headphones for the money please tell me (AUD)

- The Antilion Modmic 

 

So what I'm looking for now is a cheap but good DAC and maybe some speakers.

 

Budget

Headphones- $150

Mic- $50

DAC- $100

Speakers- $50

 

Thanks and sorry if I sound like I have no idea what I'm talking about (a bit new to the game), any advice is helpful.

For the headphones I would go with the Audio Technica ATH-M50x, and like you said a modmic would be a good choice. For the DAC I would get a FiiO E10K.
