External Graphic Cards

Shadow Bullet
I'm hoping to get an external GPU setup for Christmas and would like to know if anyone has had any experience with them. I have done extensive research and have come to the conclusion that I will be using ViDock Nano (Just released) with a EVGA GeForce GTX 970 ACX 2.0 connected with a Sonnet Thunderbolt Express Adapter connected to my MacBook Pro Mid 2012, 2.9 GHz i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD I hope this will be a great way for me to play high ned games on my laptop cause all that sucks is the GPU! The whole thing will be about $785 wish me luck! Let me know what you all think and if you have any other similar setups such as this!

Please edit your post to have automatic font coloring, can hardly read it on night theme :P

EDIT: About the external graphics: seems like a really good idea as your MacBook is quite good.

Are you planning on gaming? Does your MacBook have Windows on it?

Just curious. Saw Alienware had released one of these too, might want to have a look at that one too ;)
