Making a MMORPG

Guest Philosophy

I am looking to make an MMO or RPG. I have made many MMOs (4-5). I am looking to make 3D MMO this time around. I do not want to have to program the whole thing again, is there a good like starter pack type thing that I could use? All other times I programmed them myself and I do not have the time to do that. My previous games used Visual Basic. I looking for something a little newer and robust this time around. Previously the server could handle 300 MAX. I would like something that could handle maybe 1000+.

Can we see those games?

Which games?

http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/885/view/screens/display/26469 I should really have them take this down. I recommend not going to any links as I no longer own rights to the websites and am not sure what is on there. I just want my question answered though I did not come here to show off past games that have failed or been abandoned.

I would love to see some pictures/videos.

Can you please describe how you made them? You used some engine or ?

I used a heavily modified Eclipse Origins. I basically took the main workings from EO and reworked it. EO by nature cannot hold many players on the server side when testing it I could hold 300, so I limited the players to each server to 250.

I was hoping to see some programming but this is ok too :)

If you claim to have had the MMORPGs made in the past, then you can use them as a base and strip out what you don't need. Not sure what else you're asking for.

They were 2d or 2.5D and very outdated. I am looking for somthing better that I do not have to program myself, think graphic styles mids 2000s or better. My previous attempts had a Pokemon Esq feel.

With the distinct lack of evidence to back your claims so far I would be inclined to say that you are talking out of your arse... Please prove me otherwise?

If you had have done so then the level of experience required to make a success out of one, let alone two to the degree that you are stating (100-200 active players) would really put you in a position to be exposed to the resources needed to answer your own question.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.

I have no reason to lie. I could very well ask some of the friends I had made creating games. The last time I ever took place in such activities was back in 2012, I really have not stayed in the loop. Therefore I would no longer call those people friends. I did what I could to prove to you that I ran a good game.  I am not not trying to brag. it was never my intent. I was hoping for advise from the community of people on this forum. Very much unlike your unintelligent and otherwise dense self. It does not take much to make a good game and have people play it. For gosh sake it was made via Visual Basic. 300 people maxed out the server side. So yes, I had a game with 100+ people that played it. This does not mean I have any clue where to start on a 3D game.

i would recommend unity engine, very easy to understand and you have loads of options.

BTW: When i have finally moved and settled everything in my life/in around 1-2 months, i can help you with the writing. I won several prices in writing stories  - not in english, but nonetheless, I am pretty confident in my writing skills
