Capture Card for a camera

I was thinking of buying a capture card so I could use my sony nex camera as a webcam. I thought I wouldn't need anything more expensive one because wouldn't really need this for game capture, but I'm not sure if its ok to spend this money for this. So I'm asking if anyone knows if this is good for my purpose? sory for typos an bad grammar, I wrote this in a rush
