[Guest Philosophy]

I have been thinking a lot about music theory. I play Guitar, Piano, Bass and Drums. When writing songs lately I tend to go 1, 7, 4. Which is unusual. Song writing typically goes 1, 4, 5. I have had a lot of people like it. I been soloing in the harmonic or melodic minor. I seems to be getting a lot more fans this way. What are some opinions on such.

Imagine the C scale

I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C

So his chord progression is C, B, F.

I've learned to just play what feels good if you have a sense of what notes go together.
