So I'm building my first PC, and I've been just arguing with myself about storage for a while. I'm now thinking about the idea of a small internal HDD, maybe 250, and a larger external drive for my steam library.

what kind of budget for storage are you working with like if you have the money i would get a 256gb ssd and secondary 1TB hard drive and that would work better and faster than a 250gb hard drive and a external hard drive

So I'm spending about $1200 USD, and I already have a 128gb Samsung 840 Pro SSD (I got it on an amazing deal)

Some games (BF4 for example) actually benefit from an SSD. So, I would advise against anything less than eSATA for external...

You can get a 1TB for less than $50 here soon (black friday/monday)

So would you say this is a viable solution?
