I want to recover some data in a hold PC whit windows 95 but I don't know how to do: if I try to burn a cd says there is already an audio file in it,

the USB pen require drivers and if I try to plug the IDE hard disk in a newer computer it doesn't detect it or tells me that I have to format the hard drive to use it. How can I do to recover my data?

Thanks

Windows 95? Damn. Probably means no USB boot or usable internet. ...Do you have floppy discs? Another PC with IDE should be able to read the disk, might need some fiddling with BIOS options though.

Maybe I can use the hard disk to boot windows 95 with another PC or try another cd reader

edit:

ok, windows 95 does not start on another computer, says that there is not enough memory, but it is not true

i try 3 different cd burner:  in two cases says that a sound file was already on the disk. in the other says there isn't no disk

if i try to use a pc whit windows 7 the ide hard disk is not recognized

i don't know how to do

Burn to CD

Boot up that old machine.

Save files.

Fire up that old machine. Like with a flame thrower or something.

As long as you've never stored somewhere else search for the MY DOCUMENTS / MY MUSIC / MY PICTURES, etc folders. (Oh and the DESKTOP folder if you've ever stored files there). Or just copy the complete hard drive to a USB HDD and work with your other machine. That's safer.

So as long as it's Windows 95 with SP2:

C:\My Documents
