Trouble with Youtube filter function

I can't get the Youtube filter function to work the way I want. For example if I search for the Corsair CX430M modular power supply I'll get lots of hits for the fixed cable CX430 version or completely a completely unrelated topic. Also the filter by date uploaded (last month,last year etc.) doesn't work. If I look for uploads for the last month I might get a hit a year old. Do I have to do something special like put the search phrase in quotes or some other procedure for an advanced search or is the filter function broken? Thanx for any help.
