Far Cry 2 PC issue

So I bought far Cry 2 back when it came out on disc but I have since lost the disc and rebought it on Steam but I'm having a problem with the game. In any resolution except 1920x1080 the mouse doesn't want to move smoothly in any direction except horizontal and vertical. I also can't seem to activate the DLC in any way and i also can't make/login to an online account.

 

I know it's an older game but can anyone help me?
