Unlock Bootloader for phone

I have an LG Optimus 4x and can't figure out how to unlock the bootloader. Has anyone had any success with this?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

The OP of the sticky thread last updated the post back on March 7th. If you can't unlock the bootloader that way, then try and look for another thread.

My phone is already rooted, I just want to unlock the bootloader.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Hmm. Read this, might be helpful.

 

Sorry I can't be of more help, I don't own the device in question. I'll see if I can find some more threads about this.

Thanks! The reason i want to unlock the bootloader is so that I can use this method to increase the number of volume steps on my phone. The volume is either too loud or too soft and Android does not let me fine-tune the volume level like iOS.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
