It's stock cooler, what did you expect........

45C is fine.....

so i just finished a build and it is a i5 4690K with the stock cooler and im in the bios and its running at 45C is that ok its been that way for about 5 min now and it seems to be stable there.

l Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.5Ghz l Asus VII Ranger ROG l MSI GTX 970 @ 1555MHz l

Ergh that seems pretty high for idle.

Try reseating the cooler and use a better thermal paste if necessary. 

Why didn't you get a 212 EVO from the first place? 

It's like $25.
