need some help with decissions

I'm new here and i need some help with a decision.

I saved up some money and I'm doubting if i should just buy

a new GPU or a complete new build?(wanting to get a 980/or 970 in a complete build).

 

this i my current pc:

I7 920@ 2.67 GHz

12gb DDR3 ram

ati radeon HD56xx series

1tb harddrive

A 970 would work fine with your current rig
