upgrading ram

Go to solution Solved by ologiic,

Either way is about the same. If you're going to sell the 8gb you have now go with two 8gb sticks even though i doubt you'll ever need 32gb.

When i built my pc about 6 months ago i sort of skimped on the ram knowing it would be an easy upgrade later. I got 2x4gb corsair vengeance pro. http://tinyurl.com/q87xxpo. Any way this Christmas i am thinking to upgrade to 16gb but i cant decide if i should add another 8 or if i should get 2 x 8gb sticks for the ability to upgrade to 32gb later on. Which one do you guys think i should choose. Here is my build btw http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/Killswitch49/saved/mMzp99

Get 16 or 12gbs. im in your shoes and im just gonna get a 2x2gb kit. so then i will have 12gbs. I dont need 16gb by any means and IMO DDR4 should be easliy accessible in about 2 years at the most.
