windows 7 activation problems help

My key is genuine just to start this off. But for some reason my background is now black and my key never works when I type it in but when I try and buy a new one Microsoft says my key is genuine. Does anyone know what I should do or should I just stick with Linux until W 10 comes out.

Well it's worth a try. Most likey you have activated it to many times and now you have to call to activate it.

If you call the number in the pop-up about activation they will do it with out you even have to speak to a human

that was at least how it worked for me.

Yep, I use this all the time as well.  Just call the number they give you when you try to activate and walk through the steps you should be fine.

No dice. The phone call says it was invalid but when I go into the validation thing for my browser it still says it's valid.

You might want to create a support ticket on the Microsoft Forum. Otherwise i'm not sure.

If I just wait until the deadline reaches 0 what will happen. I might end up just installing Linux but not all my games work on Linux and I really like how W7 is. I also don't want to spend another £100+ on an OS I have bought 3 times previously.
