New Computer Speakers

Hey,

 

What all would I need to power these speakers? Would they just plug into my computer? Or would I need an additional power source?

you would need some kind of power for the speakers. this would be in the form of an amplifier

Gotcha so i'd need the DAC to plug into my computer and the Amp to power the speakers. Thanks.

PC ---3.5mm---> amplifier -> speakers

Cheap solution is a LP-2020A+ Lepai amp, fancy solution is an AVR, and there's certainly some stuff in between.

you need an amp for those speakers. I would recommend the Dayton audio DTA-120.http://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-dta-120-class-t-digital-mini-amplifier-60-wpc--300-3800 Its a small amp that can put out a surprising amount of power. I have the older version, the DTA-100 and it really is an amazing amp. There are other lower power options like the lepai amp that @ShearMe linked, but you may want a bit more power as the lepai amp will only output about 10 watts per channel with 8 ohm speakers like you listed.
