Steinberg UR22 Audio Interface - Unofficial Linux support

Hey there,

The Steinberg UR22 is a 2-channel Audio Interface. It is pretty good and quite popular (at least in germany). Its only issue was that it didn't work in Linux. Until now, thanks to the work of KgwgK on the Steinberg forums. He/She released a script, which allows the UR22 to work in Linux.

DISCLAIMER: The script messes with your kernel. If you aren't comfortable with this, don't run the script

If you want to run your UR22 in Linux go to this post on the Steinberg forums, copy the code from the first box of code into a .sh script and run it. This script will take around 10 minutes to run and download around 850 MB of data. When you are asked to keep the local kernel or to use the „newer“ (because unchanged) one from the repositories, select to keep your local one. After a reboot the interface should work. If you don't want to mess around with your kernel, don't worry. The patch will probably be included in one of the next kernel updates.

Molex to SATA, lose all your data
