Hi!

I'm looking for a monitor to use with my ps4 and my pc. I game on both of them so I need a monitor with an hdmi port and what will the pc get? The dvi-d port right? Is there any drawbacks with the dvi against the hdmi?

Thank you

Longboarders/ skaters message me!

You can use a HDMI to DVI-D adapter if you need to, thats what I use to connect my computer to my monitor. (it has no hdmi input, and I don't have a dvi cable)

Digital signal is still good no matter how jumbled it is. The cables don't really make a difference. DVI is capped at 2560 x 1440 60(??)fps vs 4k at 30fps for HDMI. The only other big difference is DVI has a lock where you screw in whereas HDMI has none. For what you're saying, it makes no difference.

That's the beauty of hdmi and DVI, they can be easily converted with a simple adapter. However I'd suggest getting one with a cord, so the weight of the DVI can rest on the floor to prevent bending.

Yeah, I've got a cable that is basically the same thing as that.

And what about the fps? If I use that converter how much fps does it support?

60hz

And the standard dvi/dvi-d?

And the hdmi also supports just 60hz, right?

I think HDMI 1.4b supports 120hz. As for DVI-i it just has the four extra pins for analog conversion such has VGA.
