Project Beyond , Samsung's latest camera gear was unveiled a sneak preview of a new camera called Project Beyond, Project Beyond is the world’s first true 3D 360° camera. Beyond captures and streams omniview videos in stunning high-resolution 3D.

 

The camera houses 16 full HD cameras & placed in an order that it shows a 360-degree panoramic view and captures everything in 3D, collecting a gigapixel of 3D data every second

Project Beyond is a 3D-capturing 360-degree camera designed to capture videos and stream them on the Gear VR.

 

 

We use stereoscopic interleaved capture and 3D-aware stitching technology to capture the scene just like the human eye, but in a form factor that is extremely compact.

 

 

 

Beyond can stream real time events, as well as store the data for future viewing. the gear promises high-speed connectivity, adaptive stitching, ultra wide-angle optics and stereoscopic depth

 

 

you can feel as if you're "literally there." You can also have it set up so that every Gear VR user that's connected will be able to see the video stream, with "no lag whatsoever."

The price of the gear hasn't been revealed yet, but rest assured it's not going to be cheap, since it's houses 16 full HD camera's to start with...& those image processing chips aint gonna be cheap sinceit has to render everything in 3D

 

For anyone that wants a Gear VR headset, you can pre-register now and the headgear will go on sale in December.
