Hello everyone,

First of all, here is a picture to show you what's in my network.

L.png

The hardware :

Router : TP Link TD-W8961ND

Laptop Windows 7 64 bits

PC Windows 7 64 bits

HTC Desire on kitkat

The situation :

I use my android device to command the laptop with Unified Remote Control and the XBMC Remote control.

It's handy when I'm watching something with xbmc :).

The issue :

I can connect to the laptop at one condition. I have to disconnect and reconnect the wifi.

Then I have like 5/10 seconds to connect. If I wait too long it doesn't work.

If I don't use the connection for some time I will loose the connection and won't have the possibility to reconnect except if I disconnect and reconnect the wifi.

What's working :

I have the internet on the laptop.

I can access a ftp server created on my HTC Desire (with Es Explorer).

-> If I do that I can then acces the laptop from the phone. As like an outbund connection validated the communication between them.

I can access a shared folder on the pc from the laptop.

-> Same story than with the ftp server. Once a connection is made from the laptop to the pc I can access the laptop from the PC.

I can access my laptop with my pc using teamviewer (I think it's because it use the internet to get access).

What I have test :

Use Unified Remote Control with the PC and it works.

If I use a lan cable for the laptop it works (so the problem is related to the wifi somehow).

I tried to disable the firewall on the laptop.

Access from the PC to the laptop have the exact same issue (I tried to ping and to access to a shared folder).

I tried to disable the IPV6 on the laptop, didn't help.

I also looked in the rooter for an wifi isolation mode but there is nothing for my router which could be related to that.

I also have a Samsung Galaxy Tab which have the same issue.

The laptop has been formatted.

The router has been changed (the issue was there with 2 previous router).

The issue is there with and without charging.

Well I think that's all.

I don't know what else to test. I have already looked a few times over the internet but without any success.

I hope someone got an idea.

Did you have to install a VPN or any software on the Laptop? If so i believe what it is doing is changing the network adapter to its 'Fake' virtual adapter.

Nope.

I have had some Acer software installed but nothing network related (I think).

I removed them all.

When I check my network interfaces I have the Wifi and Lan. That's all.

Edit : I added a "What's working" phase to give more info.

What Router do you have?

You may have to give your Phone and Laptop a Static IP address.

Check on your Router for Port Clamping open/allow port 9512 for UDP and TCP.

What os you have? windows? On the Network and Sharing Centre click on the Change Network Adapter and see if there is a Virtual or more then Wifi and Lan (Think thats what you did before but un-sure)

Check the settings in the software installed.

Update network Drivers etc

I will check it tonight but almost every question you asks have an answer in the first post :S.

Again there is no virtual network adapter.

I have a lan and wifi that's all (on the laptop). I disabled the lan to be sure.

The software don't cause the issue since I have the error with 2 softwares and windows.

I will test your option with the static IP but the ip doesn't change (I check with ipconfig if needed).

I'm sure that every time I try to connect the ip is correct.
