I need advice *quickly* on fan configuration for my build. I have the following:

Corsair 750d Case (which comes with):

  • 2x 140 mm fans in front (intake)
  • 1x 140 mm fan in rear (exhaust)

I am also going to purchase a closed loop water cooler which will have either:

  • 2x 120 mm top

OR

  • 2x 140 mm top

MY QUESTION:

How should I configure my fans for POSITIVE pressure AND efficient airflow?

I am thinking the following: 2x 140mm (front)+ 140mm (rear) totaling 3x140mm fans intake and then placing the closed loop radiator fans in push to exhaust out the top of case. My concerns are that the rear (now intake) fan will cause inefficient turbulent airflow within the case (since it is near the top exhaust). If I keep the rear fan as exhaust, then I will change case to negative pressure.

Please advise me on how I should orientate my fans, if I need to purchase additional fans (for bottom of case), or change radiator orientation/airflow direction.

2*140 in the front. Get them swapped out for proper static pressure fans.

Put you AIO in exhaust at the top of the case.

Do what you want with the other fan. Not sure if it will really make a difference.

I see you have the 750d case. Are you recommending swapping front fans for static pressure fans b/c the face plate of the case hinders airflow - static pressure fans are more optimized for smaller space? I will likely upgrade in the near future, I just want to get the PC up and running.

In regards to top radiator, do you recommend push or pull configuration (I can't afford push/pull at the moment). Does it even matter? I'd prefer to have my radiator inside the case, not on the outside.

On the inside put the fans in pull. Pulling air through the radiator and to the outside world. The front filter and face plate hinders airflow so do get static pressure fans.
