Hello I'm thinking about buying a custom made gaming PC from mwave.com.au (yes I'm in Australia so AU$ prices would be great). Using this link http://www.mwave.com.au/cpc/configure/43 what do you think the best X99 config is for $2500 at Max $3000 thx. I don't feel comfortable doing my first build with very expensive parts so please don't say it's cheaper doing it that way, I know.

Why you try seeing what you can get for $2500 from the Singularity Computers guy. >> https://www.facebook.com/pages/Singularity-Computers/131906736837382

He's based in Cairns.

His builds are sick!

Hey mate, just going to advise that if you plan on only gaming, don't buy this PC. The CPU is overkill and won't improve your gaming experience.

Go with either an i5-4690K or i7-4790K (i5 is very good for gaming, don't listen to what other "Techies" may say).

GPU: AMD: 280/280X/290/290X or NVidia: 970/980.

Storage: Try to get a 256GB SSD (Samsung 850 Pro) and a 1TB HDD (Western Digital/Seagate/Hitachi).

If you want to go all out, buy a 980. However you can pickup some pretty good deals for 780Ti's which are slightly faster than the 980 in most games. However, the 290X is still a VERY good card so don't disregard it, just go by the budget.

I would also recommend finding somebody on here who lives in your area to build you a fully custom built PC. I live in Central QLD so I most likely won't be able to help you out.
