ok so, ive only recently been looking in to this and it seems that there are limited choices out there for what im looking for in the projector market.

what i need in a projector is at the least:

-1080p

-2000 lumens bightness

-10000:1 contrast

-DLP

-nvidia 3d tv play ready

-2d -> 3d conversion

-good reliability

-all round good quality picture

-under $1500 (preferably towards the $1000 dollar mark)

ive been looking at a few projectors such as the acer h651bd, but despite the specs was told to have not great picture quality. also the benQ w1070 and that seems almost perfect but i reallllllllly want 2d to 3d conversion. if there is a hdmi input device that could give the benQ 2d -> 3d that would be exactly what im looking for, is that such a thing??

anyways looking forward to hearing any comments regarding what projector i should buy.....i am happy to listen to suggestions that do not fit my criteria also, but i would appreciate an explanation of why.......

Only one to consider is the Benq w1070 or the w1080st (but can have problems).

Ive done all my research and the Benq is the only one i would consider out of the current generation.

Also how dark is it where you want to use it? is it for gaming? Is the 3dtv play for gaming?

Dont even worry about 3dtv if its for gaming. I hated it on mine. you have to use the benq glasses and theres more money. plus the herendous lag.

There are some good LED Projectors around that are cheap. 2 of them with a amd card would be sweet and make a nice big image.

work out your image size you want because this also dictates which pj you get

my use for the projector is mainly home theatre, i will be using it for the following:

-gaming (3d and 2d)

-movie watching (3d and 2d)

-tv watching (2d and 3d)

do you have any suggestions that would fit my criteria other than the benq w1070, because it lacks the 2d to 3d conversion im looking for.
