DirectX is causing me problems ...

Heya guys, been a while since I've been to this forum but lets jump straight into it, no idea what's happening but I seem to be having DirectX issues? BF4 specifically and CoD Advanced Warfare flag DirectX as a problem, BF4 says my 480 doesn't support DX10 and it's a requirement (With a DX11 GPU?) and Advanced Warfare just says "DirectX encounted an unrecoverable error". I've tried reinstalling the runtime to no avail, so anyone got any ideas? I know my old 480 is outdated but it still performs alright, and I have no money atm, not any that I can casually dump into my system for upgrades.

 

EDIT: Currently going through removing the GPU driver, and gonna run driversweeper, then do a fresh driver install to see if that makes any difference.

But I've seen numerous people playing BF4 just fine on a 480 ... Reinstall was fruitless too.

I searched for you... you could have done it yourself.

 

"...PRESS WINDDOWS KEY+ P. Scroll left to "Computer Only". Your secondary monitor should go out (turn black). Then simply start the game."

 

This is a fix for multi monitors.

 

-If this didn´t work, try reinstalling windows
