Which one is very important when it comes to speed performance for loading up operating system, games, web browsing, music, files, etc.?

 

4K Reads or Sequential Reads?

 

What is 4K Reads though?

It depends on the usage.

 

For example, your OS disk reads a lot of short pieces in a lot of different places on the platter (of chips, depends on if you are using an HDD or an SSD).

That's where 4K random reads come in handy.

 

On the other hand, if you are using your disk for mass storage, sequential reads are important, because most of the data is in 1 line.
