Hi, as the title states this is going to be my first ever pc build. The intention is only to upgrade it in the future - not having to replace it.

My price I have in mind is £1,000 - £1,400 ($1,600 - $1,800) for the tower. I have set aside £500 ($800) for the monitor (4K only unless I have to use a 1080) and also the operating system. I have no intention to over clock currently however that could change after having the PC for a while, so I have no need to look at too great of over cooling currently. I will be playing recent release games, for example Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, with high graphics.

I live in the United Kingdom, so prices I am looking at are preferred in £GBP or $USD.

Here is a list of what I currently have in mind: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/hyMw8d

Ideally I would like to keep the case and the monitor the same (unless better ones are available around the same cost). I will also be adding LEDs which are available at my local retailer, however if a suitable alternative is found I can add that to the parts list. (Preferably colour changing LEDs, if not, red or blue will be ok).

At some point in the future I would also like to add another monitor (1080p or 4k) so preferably the current specs should be able to run at least a 4k with potential of an additional 1080p monitor.

If there is a pre-built tower with near identical specs available for up to £1,400/$1,800, that would be a good alternative - but again, must be able to run a 4k monitor and potential of a second.

As you can probably tell I don't know too much about the components but am capable of building one myself. Any extra help and suggestions are extremely welcome and I am very thankful as you will be helping a lot.

Thanks for anyone who can help!

A 770 won't be able to handle 4k gaming, not at all. Maybe 1440p or something and 970 in sli instead could run a single 4k at decent frames, also why 16gb of 1333mhz? 8gb is plenty if you're just gaming, and go for at least 1600mhz. There's not much of a price difference going up a notch in freq. Also how did it get so expensive? Something went wrong in the making of this list...

As I said I'm not too great with the components. The price does include the os and monitor so I guess that adds a bit?

I don't suppose you could create/suggest a spec list I could use for an example which is able to run 4k? Thanks in advance.

Would this need extra for an additional HD monitor?

At what resolution?

From looking at benchmarks 2-way 980 SLI would be ideal for 4k. If you decide not to go 4k I would suggest going for 1440p since the 980 is overkill for 1080p.

Well I'm hoping for 2 monitors preferably. The main monitor has to be 4k, but the second can be 1080/1440/4k. If it can only run 1 however, I would like it to be 4k without a doubt.
