I realize someone asked a similar question about the stock Nvidia cooler, but I'm wondering about the Gigabyte Windforce cooler. I would assume that the paint can be scratched off and painted over similar to the Nvidia model, but was wondering if there is a way to do it without voiding my warranty. I'm planning on doing a build in an NZXT H440 Razer "fanboy edition" so the blue doesn't really match the rest of the case.

So here's the real question: can I use green plasti dip over the blue logo, have it show green, and be able to peel it off (like plasti dip does) and maintain my warranty?

Thanks for all of the help.

NZXT H440 Razer "fanboy edition"

This made me lol.

On topic, plastidip is very opaque, so very little light will make it through the logo.

It will look fuzzy, and you probably wont be able to read what it says, but it should still glow through a bit if all the lights in your room and in your PC are turned off.

Perhaps use a yellow marker on it? blue + yellow = green :3

I don't know that this would bother me all that much. A green non-backlit logo is better for me than a blue backlit one  :P

Plus the warranty would remain in-tact!

Oh for some reason I was thinking the logo lit up, nevermind.

Yup you can safely use plastidip and it will look great. Easily can be peeled off without voiding any warranty.

Just make sure you dont get paint anywhere other than the logo. Linus did something similar with his cards for painting which made it much easier, like this:

I appreciate all of your help. The logo does light up, but it wouldn't bother me all that much to have little to no glow. Green opaque is better for this build than blue light  ;)

Oh ok I guess its a different windforce cooler that I was thinking about.

Well good luck with your mod :)
