AMD APU

What is the difference between the A8 7600 and the A10 7700k? The both have a similar specification except one is unlocked.

the A10 has more graphic power, slightly, also higher clockspeeds. ANd the fact its unlocked allows you to achieve even a higher margin. If you are gonna buy any of this two, remember to get the highest speed ram you can find compatible. Getting the A8 with 2400 MHz DDR3 can give better FPS than a a10 with 1600 MHz memory. If your budget allows a a10+2400MHz memory, get that of course xD

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

The A10 has better graphics performance, and is also binned higher, giving you better overclocks.

I'd go with the 7700k for it's higher clock speed.  Higher clock = faster media encoding.

Does the GCN GPU core difference make a huge impact on the performance between the 7850k and 7700k?

Yes.  The 7850k is significantly more powerful than the 7700k.

So I am better off getting it or combo the 7700k later with a GPU.

the only 512 sp iGPUs are in the A10 7850k and the A10 7800

(the 7700k is 384 sp)

A10 7850k is more bang for your buck.  Thing can run Battlefield 4 on Medium @ 60fps

Still. Will perform way better in games than the 7700k  Especially for Civ and what I assume you meant ARMA?

So, Athlon X4 750/760/860 + 250x or A10 7700k?

The Athlon X4 with the 250x will outperform the 7700k.

You play Arma? Arma 3? Or the very first Arma? If you are playing arma 3 I highly recommend you start looking at higher end parts as that game requires a LOT better than a A10 7700k to run, my overclocked A8-5600k (Better due to overclock) with my R9 270x can barely run on medium smoothly, I have to turn it down to low, which imo is not playable' just to get above 30 FPS, other games like BF4 I can run on high to ultra with 45 (ultra) to 60+ (high)....
