Hey guys, me again. Since I've overclocked my GTX 670 and set the power limit to the full 225 watts, I'm consistently hitting that limit. Does anyone think it'd be possible to increase the power limit to say, 250 watts? I know dual 6 pins plus the PCI bus can supply 225 watts, I'm just curious if I can push that a little further considering I have a spare 500 watts of power that my PSU can put out.

CPU: Intel i5-2320 @ 3.9gHz

GPU: MSI GTX 670 PE @ 1411/7387

I wanna go fast! :P

I personally don't recommend it. I believe you'll risk burning out the cables.

I don't believe the cables have a problem with the added current. Maybe the motherboard traces.. I'll try something small, like 230 watts. See if anything happens.

Interesting. Okay so I set the bios to accept 230 watts. But apparently my card has a power limit that bypasses the bios.. Hmmm. Afterburner is set to max power limit, but it throttles at 80% limit. Temperatures are below 60C.
