Seems a bit odd that the MB is reading hotter than the CPU. Do you have the little fans installed in the board? With that 'thermal armor' on and without airflow under it, I could see it accumulating heat quite easily.

Anyway, 39 degrees isn't bad.

When you load it up does the MB temp rise significantly?

Well, the AI Suite isn't a very precise measurement. Download HWMonitor.

I am running a z77 Sabertooth and the fans are set to spin up when at 40°C+ and are not spinning at all [28°C room temp]. So probably it's AI telling you BS :D

Have been told by Tech support whom supplied the PC , general rule motherboard should be around no more than 15 per cent higher  than the CPU. Plus the fact that the components of the sabretooth are very high end and hence the five year warranty on the motherboard.

Also what needs to be taken into account is that if you have an overclocked system this may have an impact on motherboard temp.

Hope this helps anyone else whom is wondering....
