Proper sounding mics under $30 USD that have a 3.5mm jack?

 

Not a headset looking for just a mic.

 

Meant for talking while gaming, skype etc.

It's a USB microphone rather than a straightforward 3.5mm jack, but you can get the Blue Snowflake off amazon.com for $30. I've got one and it works really well. Other than that it's probably gonna be the usual Zalman Zm-Mic1 recommendation, which I also had and worked fairly well.

Would avoid the zalman clip on the neewer ones can be picked up for a few quid and you can mod it into a mod mic or just clip it on.

 

Other then that I dont know of any cheap decent stand alone mics as you might aswell get a cheap headset like the microsoft lifechat 3000

how about the  Samson Go Mic and then also buy a cheap stereo line in cable.

 

that way you can use as both a USB and an analog mic

 

since you do not want links, search youtube for audio samples. the quality is very good for about $30

 

User Steggy did a good review where all of the audio in the video was recorded with the mic.
