CPU water cooling

Go to solution Solved by tiny voices,

Yes I do. I have used many of both types of coolers and have always found air to be the winner when it comes to noise and price/performance.

Hey guys, iv been thing for a while now to try out some water cooling for my CPU. Now i find a lot of coolers out there, and don't know what to get, currently am using a hyper 212 evo on my cpu.

I defiantly want a dual radiator but im not sure that it can fit in my case.

This is the case: http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower/haf-912-plus/

Can someone recommend something please?

Thank you in advance!

Intel i 870 overclocekd to 4ghz, and stable for over a year now but, my fans are noisy and the cpu gets to around 80 c under full load and around 40 on idle.

Yea, that's nice i probably should have noted that im not from Northa America, so NZXT is not an option, although i would gladly buy the x61.

I would not recommend an AIO cooler. If you go water go full custom loop. An AIO cooler will be beaten by a cheaper and quieter air cooler at most all price points.

The main problem is where to find the gear, so im kinda stuck with AIO cooling, if i was in the US that would be no problem, a looking at the corsair line up of products here, its horrendous the only option more or less is CM, but i would like to get a few recommendation.

If you are fine with loud, the h100i is a good cooler, but it is NOT quiet at all.

Do you have any air options at all?

Well im using air a the moment like i said, and i dont think i would get any better temps with more air cooling since my current cooler:

http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cpu-air-cooler/hyper-212-evo/

with two http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/case-fan/excalibur/

is not getting the CPU under 80 and is quite loud when under load.

And what db are we talking with the h100i i know some people have high standards but my fans get to around 40-50 db so anything under that would be good

There are WAY WAY better coolers than that. There are plenty of $70 air coolers that cool BETTER than an h100i.

What would you suggest for a legit water cooling set for my case, not a AIO, just so i could know with what i would get the best results.

You could have a look at the XSPC Raystorm kits if you want to buy a kit, or you could piece together your own.

Its a shame that we have almost none of the equipment needed for a custom rig. But thank you for the assistance, and on a last note you think that a water cooling AIO can be so easily beaten by an air cooler?

i use an h55 and the pump is noisy ,at my next build i will go air cooling

if you are ok with a constant noise (it is not loud but annoying )then grab an h100
