Steam bundle gists

If i buy a bundle/GOTY edition of games as a gift, will it give me each of the games/DLCs separately in my inventory or will it give me one item in my inventory for all the items.  EXE: i buy the valve complete pack, can i give the portal series to one of my friends, the half life to another, etc?

You can't gift the games unless you already had them before.

Like if you had portal 1 and 2, and if you buy the Valve complete pack, you get extra copies of the portal 1 and 2 so you can gift them.

unless things changed recently even if you have them you don't get gift copies to give away if you buy something that comes with something you own it is just gone no second copy

what I'm saying is if you buy something in a bundle when you already own it you don't get a gift copy it is just gone

I wasn't saying it was a bundle. I was saying that if you buy a game and you buy and bundle that has the game that you bought, you can use that extra game copy you have to gift someone.

that seems new and with only a few games it normally doesn't work that way from past experience

I have never bought the valve packs because i own 95% of the games but the few things i have bought like goty or with dlc after owning the game just ends up being a lost copy of the game that i bought and no one gets

I got the Valve Complete Pack for 25 bucks.
