Hi guys,

I'm planning to build a low noise optimized gaming PC with these components:

-Intel i7-4790k

-Corsair H100i (using SP120s High Permormance fans)

-Corsair Dominator Platinum 2x8 GB

-MSI Z97S SLI Plus Krait Edition (available soon)

-Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980

-Samsung 850 PRO 128GB (OS and common use apps)

-WD Caviar Black 1TB

-Corsair RM750 80 Plus Gold

-NZXT H400 (replacing the rear fan with a Corsair AF140)

My intention is to keep the 3 front stock fans included in the case, replace the stock 140mm rear fan with the AF140 and mount the H100i's 240mm radiator at the top replacing the stock fans with the SP120s pushing air out. The three front fans would be controlled together, the same to the two radiator fans.

The question here is about controlling them. I've seen the MoBo has itself 2 CPU 4xpin fan headers and 3 system 4xpin fan headers, but as I'll install the H100i, with the Corsair Link software I think I would be able to control the speed of, at less, the radiator fans.

Here comes my doubt; I would like to set a configuration which gradually increased fan RPMs according to the CPU temperatures, so as to keep the PC as quiet as possible. I don't know if the Corsair software would allow me to do so with all the fans.

As you may have seen, I'm a complete noob; if some of you could help me I would be very thankful.

And, if you think improvements in the build can be made, let me know please ;)

The h100i can control the fan speed according to any temp sensor on your mobo along with the cpu temp. You can make the fan profile any way you want. By default the h100 can control 4 fans. Attach the rest to the mobo and use software to run them aswell.

That is if the only heat youre worried about it the cpu.
